You are in: About Us
iCreate was founded in 2003 as a specialist architectural visualisation firm. Over the years, we have worked with architects, developers, planning consultants, local authorities, regeneration companies and a wide range of other organisations in the public and private property sectors, delivering high end visual solutions to meet their diverse requirements. Our company website includes examples of our work and more information about what we do: www.icreate3d.com
The iViewer represents the culmination of extensive research and development at iCreate, designing a tool that applies computer gaming technology to the field of architectural visualisation and property marketing. We believe that interactive 3D is the next big thing in property presentation, and the iViewer has been designed to enable clients to maximise the opportunities offered by this emerging technology.
Thanks to our background, we really understand the specific needs of clients in the property sector, and we have taken a highly pragmatic approach to designing a tool that meets these needs. iViewer functionality is tailored to the objectives of architects, planners, councils, local authorities, developers, and housebuilders, as well as their clients, customers, stakeholders and agents.
The iViewer is not a finished product – it’s a new solution that is constantly evolving. With each new project, we’re responding to feedback from our clients, and implementing new functionality all the time. This means that now is an exciting time to work with us and explore the huge untapped potential of interactive 3D. If you’ve read the rest of this website you’ll have a pretty good understanding of the possibilities. Here are just a few more advantages offered by the iViewer:
If you experience long delays loading and running 3D model files in SketchUp, 3DS Max or other packages, the iViewer could present a great solution for presenting 3D models which will run smoothly and load quickly on any ordinary PC. This gives you peace of mind, knowing that your users will be able to open and explore your 3D models, with no special hardware or software required.
If you’ve put time into developing detailed 3D models in ArchiCAD or similar software, you may be wary about releasing those models in a format that could be used and developed by a third party. The iViewer cuts straight through this issue by publishing your models in a ‘locked’ format. Users will be able to interact with the model, navigate around it and view it as they choose, but they won’t be able to edit it or export it to any usable 3D format – it’s just a viewer’ rather than a model they can work with.
Mainstream solutions such as Google Earth and Streetview may offer the ability to explore locations in an interactive way, but the information is generic and isn’t tailored to your needs. The iViewer is a far more bespoke solution – we create interactive models specifically for your purposes, embedding useful information, modelling proposed developments as well as existing locations, and providing bespoke navigational and interactive tools to meet the needs of your users.
